OBVERSE

On the obverse of this coin, a shell stands on the left, a reference to From the Earth to the Moon. On the right, the entire team observes the moon from their orbiting shell, a reference this time to Around the Moon. Among them are Impey Barbicane, Michel Ardan (an anagram of Nadar, a friend of Jules Verne), Captain Nicholl, the dog Diana, as well as one of the hens aboard the spacecraft. The titles From the Earth to the Moon and Around the Moon are in the center, the author's name is placed on the moon, and the year at the bottom.

REVERSE

The reverse is common to the entire "Art of the Pen" series. It features several emblematic quotes such as "The best is the enemy of the good" by Voltaire, "Lasciate ogne speranza voi ch’intrate" by Dante Alighieri, "To be or not to be, that is the question" by William Shakespeare, and "What does not kill me makes me stronger" by Nietzsche. A feather is engraved in the center of the coin. Below it is the title of the series. The mention "RF" is present at the bottom of the coin, as are the mint marks of Joaquin Jimenez and the engraving workshop.
