This miniset presents the complete series of Greek euro coins, dated 2025, in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) quality. The set includes all eight coins, ranging from 1 cent to 2 euros.

The theme is Thessaly, a central region of Greece, characterized by its vast fertile plain surrounded by mountain ranges such as Olympus, Othrys, Pindus, and Ossa. This region is crossed by the Pinios River.

Thessaly played a prominent role in Greek history, notably as a center of Neolithic civilization and the seat of the kingdom of Iolcos in the Mycenaean era, from where Jason and the Argonauts set sail in search of the Golden Fleece. Mount Olympus, the abode of the gods, and Mount Pelion, the homeland of the Centaurs and the place where Achilles was educated, are central elements of local myths.

Incorporated into Greece in 1881, Thessaly was long perceived as the country's breadbasket due to its agricultural and livestock production. During Storm Daniel in 2023, the area experienced considerable damage.

The production of this set is limited to 5 000 units.

Currently, Thessaly is focusing on its rehabilitation, highlighting its abundant cultural and natural heritage, which includes the legendary Mount Olympus, the charming villages of Pelion, Lake Plastira, the Meteora monasteries, and the Tempi Valley.
