OBVERSE

The inner part of the coin features a commemorative design for the 250th anniversary of the founding of the Financial Guard. It is a stylized version of the Financial Guard's heraldic emblem, interpreting the concept of security and offering a future vision of the corps' role. This emblem includes various elements: the mountain, the sea, and the sky, representing the natural environments where the corps operates; the griffin (a mythological creature said to guard treasure), symbolizing state treasure; and the turreted crown. In the upper part, the inscription "GUARDIA DI FINANZA," and in the lower part, the year of issue "2023," along with the monogram of the Italian Republic "RI" and the Rome Mint mark "R."
