Germany 2015 - 2 Euro Commemorative - 30 years of the European flag
OBVERSE
The design by Greek engraver Georgios Stamatopoulos depicts twelve silhouettes arranged in increasing order around the European flag. The twelve stars characteristic of the flag, prominently displayed in the center of the obverse, are echoed by twelve human silhouettes embodying the European population. Behind this image, the founding values of the European Union – liberty, humanity, solidarity, unity – are suggested with simplicity and poetry.
The mint mark "A", "D", "F", "G", or "J" (each letter corresponding to a mint).
REVERSE
A map of the European continent is depicted on a dynamic background composed of the twelve stars of the European Union.
