This 10-cent American coin is the first coin the character earned in his youth, after cleaning the shoes of Burt the Lamplighter. This coin inspired Balthazar Scrooge McDuck to work hard to achieve his desires. It will forever remain Scrooge's symbol of success through hard work.⁤⁣

OBVERSE

The obverse of the mini-medal features Scrooge McDuck's portrait. His name "Balthazar Scrooge McDuck" and "lucky dime" are engraved in the exergue. The entire design is surrounded by a beaded border.

⁣⁢REVERSE⁤⁣

On the reverse of the mini-medal is engraved the inscription "1 sou". A laurel wreath is found in a semi-circle around the edge of the mini-medal, a numismatic symbol dating back to antiquity. A beaded border adorns the circumference. At the bottom center is the Disney copyright, attesting to the collaboration between the Monnaie de Paris and the famous animation studio.

The mini-medal is in an individual pouch, which highlights the Scrooge McDuck character, thus allowing the lucky dime to be presented and preserved.
