Europa - 1,5€ Silver Coin - BU 2003
OBVERSE
Design inspired by octopuses depicted in Minoan art, listing in a series of curves the names of the twelve Eurozone countries: "Belgique/België, Deutschland, Eire, España, France, Ellada, Italia, Luxembourg, Nederland, Österreich, Portugal, Suomi". At the four ends of the "tentacles" are the three French sides of the euro coins, and the initials "RF". The twelve stars of Europe and the face value "1½ EURO" complete the composition, evoking French uniqueness within European diversity.
