OBVERSE

The face value "1 1/2 €", the mint marks, and the motto "LIBERTÉ ÉGALITÉ FRATERNITÉ" are in the center of the coin. Below is the mint year "2002", "RF" the name of the issuing state of the French Republic, and the famous fairy tale opening "ONCE UPON A TIME...".

REVERSE

Cinderella is a children's fairy tale retold by Charles Perrault in 1697 and by the Brothers Grimm in 1812. From left to right in the center, the representation of the heads of Cinderella's stepsisters, the pumpkin with mice, a glass slipper, Cinderella dancing with the Prince, Cinderella in color sweeping the floor, and a clock showing almost midnight.
