To celebrate the 65th anniversary of the first appearance of Asterix and Obelix in PILOTE magazine in 1959, the Paris Mint is marking another anniversary for our two favorite Gauls by striking a new collection of coins and medals featuring them. Since their first adventures, Asterix and Obelix have traveled to distant lands and made friends around the world!

Their adventures are now translated into 117 different languages, making our two Gauls true international comic icons. Limited to only 1,000 copies, this miniset features the three new denominations of 10, 20, and 50 cents in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) quality. This series contains all 8 French circulation denominations in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) quality.

The 1€ coin is struck exclusively for Minisets and Proof sets and will not be struck in circulating quality in 2024.
