OBVERSE

In 2024, handball is featured on coins. Handball's origins trace back to the late 19th century in Scandinavia and Germany, where field handball also became a recognized sport. The two versions of the sport coexisted until 1966, before the indoor version was favored over its field counterpart.

REVERSE

The reverse, common to the series, features a view of Paris where the Seine takes on the appearance of a running track. The Eiffel Tower dominates the city and illuminates the competition.
