World AIDS Day - 2 Euro Coin - Proof 2014
OBVERSE
The inner part of the coin features 3 ribbons, one of which is in the classic direction, colored red only for the BU and Proof versions.
The 2 other ribbons, reversed, associated with the presence of 2 V's, reinforce the symbolism of the long-awaited victory. December 1st, the date of UNESCO's "World AIDS Day", is present at the top of the coin.
The red ribbon, a symbol of the fight against AIDS, is worn close to the heart to symbolize solidarity with those affected. It is shaped like an inverted V and is intended to be worn one day as a V, to signify victory over the disease.
