OBVERSE

⁣⁢On the obverse, a crocodile, representing both René Lacoste and the Maison he founded, follows the upper contours of the coin. Placed on a sandblasted background evoking the
clay courts of Roland Garros, it overlooks the silhouette of the tennis champion in
action on the court, symbolized here by perpendicular lines. A ball is placed next to the crocodile's head.⁤⁣

REVERSE

The reverse of the coin is divided into three distinct zones, referencing a tennis ball viewed from above. The first features the texture of crocodile skin. The second, that of the cotton pique of the Lacoste polo shirt. The third, finally, that of the tennis racket strings. In the center of the coin sits the face value, with the 0 represented by a golf ball, a tribute to the sport practiced with brilliance by champion Simone Thion de La Chaume, René Lacoste's wife.
