⁣⁢In 2018, the Royal Mint issued a series of collectible coins dedicated to the History of Navigation. Due to their great acceptance among our collectors, it was decided this year to continue with a new series, this time dedicated to the History of Aviation.⁤⁣

⁣⁢This collection maintains a similar structure to the previous one, consisting of 20 coins on the obverse of which are depicted in color the images of aircraft that, for one reason or another, are or have been emblematic throughout history, with the appearance of certain aircraft for which Spain contributed to their manufacturing.⁤⁣

⁣⁢All coins, struck in cupronickel, have the same diameter (33 mm) and a face value of 1,5 euros. The maximum mintage for this collection is 7 500 units.⁤⁣

⁣⁢The common reverse also features a two-bladed propeller emerging from a central circle of the coin. Outside this circle are the images of two turbines.⁤⁣

The coins are produced over several years, while the set was released in 2020.
