OBVERSE

To celebrate the 65th anniversary of Asterix and Obelix's first appearance in PILOTE magazine in 1959, the Monnaie de Paris is marking another anniversary for our two favorite Gauls by striking a new collection of coins and medals in their likeness.

Since their first adventures, Asterix and Obelix have traveled to distant lands and made friends around the world! Their adventures are now translated into 117 different languages, making our two Gauls true international comic strip icons.

The reverse is common to other mini medals from the Paris Mint and is dated 2024.
