OBVERSE

The sport, the athletes, and their movements are celebrated here. In 2022, Show Jumping is featured on the Coins. Equestrian events at the Olympic Games are represented in three disciplines (individual and team): show jumping, dressage, and eventing. It involves clearing several obstacles in a predetermined order as quickly as possible. Equestrianism, along with modern pentathlon, is the only Olympic sport where animals compete with humans, but also one of the rare sports in which both sexes compete.

REVERSE

The reverse, common to the series, features a view of Paris where the Seine resembles an athletics track. The Eiffel Tower overlooks the city and illuminates the competition.
