OBVERSE

⁣⁢This coin will commemorate the role of the Malta Community Chest Fund in society through a program for secondary school students titled "From Children in Solidarity." This program presents the social role of children in five areas, with the first theme being "Solidarity through Love." The design is the work of Ms. Sarah Cilia, a secondary school student, who illustrated this theme using two hands forming a heart in which the Maltese flag appears. At the bottom of the design is the inscription "MALTA 2016." Two stylized representations of human bodies are drawn on each wrist.⁤⁣

⁣⁢The outer ring of the coin depicts the twelve stars of the European flag.⁤⁣
