⁣⁢The Paris Mint emits in 2013 a second piece of 2 € commemorative. This coin celebrates 150 years since the birth of Pierre de Coubertin.
Strongly influenced by Anglo-Saxon culture, Pierre de Coubertin is at the origin of the insertion of sport in French educational establishments. His real name is Pierre de Fredy de Courbertin, he is best known for being the founder, in 1884, of the Games Modern Olympics. These world games are an opportunity for participating countries to challenge each other sportingly with their athletes in a spirit of peace and glorification of sport.⁤⁣
