OBVERSE

The obverse design features a five-pointed star, set against a collection of plant elements evoking harvests and the agricultural world. At the center of the star is a medallion bearing the effigy of the Republic, surrounded by the motto "Honneur et Agriculture" (Honor and Agriculture). The green and red ribbon, in the characteristic colors of the Order of Agricultural Merit, crosses the composition and recalls the identity of this distinction. On the right appears the portrait of Jules Méline, the Minister of Agriculture who initiated the creation of the order in 1883. His presence highlights the history of this decoration and its commitment to the development and influence of French agriculture.

REVERSE

At the center of the engraving, a shield topped with a closed royal crown, recalling the nation's historical roots. It features a heart adorned with the Gallic rooster, an emblem of French pride, surrounded by a scattering of fleur-de-lis that highlights the country's centuries-old heritage. Two laurel branches tied at their base, symbols of victory, peace, and glory, surround the shield.
