The engraving for this coin was created by the Paris Mint's engraving workshop using illustrations from the graphic charter of the film The Fellowship of the Ring.

This coin thus illustrates the climax of the entire story, where the adventure ends but where, paradoxically, all seems lost.

OBVERSE

⁣⁢The One Ring is featured in the center of the coin, sparkling and golden, it draws all eyes and desires. This element is highlighted by the high relief strike combined with selective gold and bronze-colored metal plating.
Frodo strives throughout the story to resist its influence. Gandalf himself says not to tempt him with this object of power, which he could too easily succumb to. Gollum, driven mad by the Ring's power, seeks to seize it by any means. The Witch-king of Angmar, meanwhile, long lost to Sauron's cause, wants to retrieve the Ring and
return it to his master. Beyond the Ring, we can distinguish the Eye of Sauron, which sees all from its lair in the desolate lands of Mordor.⁤⁣

REVERSE

The reverse of this coin depicts the One Ring, overlooking the Eye of Sauron and enhanced by a selective gold plating. Its inscription, written in Black Speech and transcribed in Tengwar, is revealed here by the flames of Mount Doom. Each reverse is engraved with the face value, the hallmarks of the Paris Mint, the mention RF (French Republic), as well as the year 2026 and the New Line Production copyright relating to The Lord of the Rings saga.
