OBVERSE

The coin features, on the left side of its inner part, the effigy of His Royal Highness, Grand Duke Henri, in profile to the right, and, on the right side, the effigy of the former Grand Duke Adolphe. These effigies are surmounted by the legend, inscribed in a semicircle, GRANDS-DUCS DE LUXEMBOURG. The text HENRI * 1955 ADOLPHE 1905 appears below their respective effigies. On the outer ring of the coin, the twelve stars surrounding the design are placed between the letters of the word LËTZEBUERG. The date 2005 is inscribed below, with its mint mark and the letter S.
