⁣⁢The design features the EU flag, a symbol uniting peoples and cultures sharing a vision and an ideal for a better common future. Twelve stars transforming into human silhouettes symbolize the birth of a new Europe. In the upper right, in a semicircle, are indicated the issuing country, "SLOVENSKO," and the years, "1985-2015."
Between the flag and the years is the mint mark of the Kremnica Mint (Mincovňa Kremnica), consisting of the initials "MK" placed between two punches.
The artist's initials (Georgios Stamatopoulos) appear in the lower right. The outer ring of the coin depicts the twelve stars of the European flag.⁤⁣
