To celebrate the 180th anniversary of the Society for the Protection of Animals, the Paris Mint is dedicating a new collection to the four favorite animals of the French: dogs, cats, rabbits, and horses.

These coins pay tribute to the millions of animals that have been rescued, cared for, protected, and adopted thanks to the SPA's commitment since 1845, and engrave in metal all the affection they hold for them:

• The dog, a faithful companion, symbolizes loyalty, daily presence, and trust.

• The cat, an endearing companion, evokes mystery and independence.

• The rabbit, an affectionate companion, represents sensitivity and curiosity.

• The horse, majestic and sensitive, embodies strength and intelligence.

A crown featuring symbols specific to each animal (dog and cat paw prints, horseshoe, and carrot) enhances the trio representations on each coin, in the style of a family photo.
