⁣⁢The design depicts the EU flag, a symbol that unites peoples and cultures sharing a vision and an ideal for a better common future. Twelve stars transforming into human silhouettes symbolize the birth of a new Europe. In the upper right, in a semicircle, are indicated the issuing country, "SLOVENSKO", and the years, "1985-2015".
Between the flag and the years, is the mint mark of the Kremnica Mint (Mincovňa Kremnica), consisting of the initials "MK" placed between two mint punches.
The artist's initials (Georgios Stamatopoulos) appear in the lower right. The outer ring of the coin represents the twelve stars of the European flag.⁤⁣
