⁣⁢Official piece of 2,50 € commemorative Belgium 2020 in CoinCard original colorized version commemorating the 100 years of Antwerp Olympic Games.⁤⁣

⁣⁢The inner part of the coin depicts an athlete from the VIIth Olympiad with the inscription "Antwerpen 1920" and the original colorized flag of Belgium
On the reverse, as is customary for Belgium, the map of the European Union, the twelve stars, the trilingual mention of the country, the year of issue, and the face value are featured.⁤⁣

⁣⁢On April 20, 1920, the seventh Summer Olympic Games opened in the brand-new Kiel Stadium, in Antwerp. For Belgium, this was a form of compensation for the tragedy of the Great War that had just ravaged its land and people.
The seventh Olympiad was rich in novelties. For the first time, an athlete took the Olympic oath. This was the Belgian shooter Victor Boin. It was also the first time the famous five-ring Olympic flag was hoisted, each ring symbolizing a continent. Finally, doves, a symbol of peace, were released into the sky.⁤⁣
