In 2021, to celebrate the anniversary of 20 years of the starter kit and the circulation of the first euros, the Money of Paris decided to pay tribute to the seed from a new angle.
The reverse of this currency of € 50 represents two semeuses:
The first, in the background, is the original seed of the Oscar Roty engraver, the one found on the 1 franc parts since 1898.
The second, that in the foreground, is the original face of the woman who inspired the engraver, Rosalinda Pesce. This is the first time it has appeared on a coin.
We can also notice 20 stars in the background which represent the 20th anniversary of the Starter Kit. The sun is represented on this piece as a reminder of the Franks, currency preceding the Euros.
The French flag appears on the furrows on which The sly Sow in a heraldic form with the horizontal lines for blue, a flat for white and vertical lines for red.
The rectangular format of this currency is a direct tribute to the form of Starter Kit. We also find on the face the 40 currencies that make up the original starter kit launched in 2021. The "€" symbol is also taken from the original pouchon visual.
