Each of the 12 prehistoric animals presented in the series had an exceptional quality, such as the most sophisticated hunting techniques, the longest claws or the most powerful bite, to name only a few.

Deinonychus may have only been three and a half meters in length, but it was one of the most dangerous and smartest dinosaurs to have ever traveled the earth. Living in what is now called North America, Deinonychus lived around 110 million years ago. When he was girling on two legs, he used his flexible tail to maintain his balance. Dotted with many blade -shaped teeth with the shredded edges, the deinonychus jaws were those of a carnivorous. Although it contains a brain large enough to suggest a very intelligent animal, its skull was relatively narrow. This allowed Deinonychus to see in a stereoscopic way and to estimate the distances with precision - an essential prerequisite for a successful predator. But perhaps the most striking characteristic of Deinonychus was the large claws in the shape of a sickle on the second toe of its posterior legs. The fossilized traces of a deinonychus show that these claws were spread upwards and did not touch the ground during walking, all the better to fix its prey to the ground with a leg by tearing it with the claws on its long legs before .
