Located in the southern part of the Sentinel chain, the highest mountain in Antarctica is more than 1,200 kilometers (750 miles) of the South Pole. Which makes it the most distant from the 7 peaks. Covered in ice and snow, it was the last of the famous peaks to be discovered in 1957, climbed in 1966 and finally appointed in 2006. Consequently, Mont Vinson is the perfect choice to complete our formidable series of 7 peaks.
